Bitget Wallet

This guide explains how to bridge your Bitcoin (BTC) from the Bitcoin network to mint $zkBTC on Ethereum networks using the Bitget Wallet extension.

Step 1. Install Your Bitget Wallet

  • Click the "Connect Wallet" button on the bridge interface. Select Bitget Wallet from the list of available wallets.

  • Ensure your wallet is connected to the Bitcoin mainnet.

Step 2. Click the zkBTC Bridge website and connect with Bitget wallet

  • Amount to Bridge: Enter the amount of BTC you want to bridge

    • Minimum: 21,000 sats (0.00021 BTC).

    • Amounts below this will fail

  • Enter ETH Receiving Address: Enter your Ethereum address carefully

  • This is where your zkBTC will be delivered

  • Double-check this address for accuracy

Step 3. Review and Sign

  • Bitget Wallet will display a transaction ready for signing

  • Carefully review:

    • Transaction amount

    • Network fees

    • Destination details ( your ETH receiving address)

Important: Verify the OP_RETURN data matches your receiving ETH address

  • You must manually decode the OP_RETURN value to confirm it contains your correct ETH address as Bitget Wallet currently cannot display it in the signature comfirmation.

Step 4. Confirm Transaction

  • Sign the transaction in your Bitget Wallet. $zkBTC will be minted to your Ethereum address shortly.

  • Transaction may take several minutes to complete.

Important Notes

  • Minimum bridge amount: 21,000 sats (0.00021 BTC)

  • Always double-check all address fields before broadcasting

  • Manually verify the OP_RETURN data contains your correct ETH address

  • Network congestion may affect processing times

  • Keep sufficient BTC for transaction fees
