Xverse

This guide will walk you through the process of bridging your native BTC from your Xverse wallet to mint $zkBTC, and how to bridge it back when you're done.

Mint zkBTC (BTC to zkBTC)

Step 1: Accessing the Bridge and Connecting Your Xverse Wallet

1. Open your Xverse web browser (e.g., Chrome, Brave, Firefox). Download Xverse Wallet here.

2. Navigate to the official zkBTC bridge website: https://apps.zkbtc.money/

3. On the zkBTC homepage, click the "Connect Wallet" button and Select "Xverse" wallet.

Step 2: Bridging from BTC to zkBTC

1. Ensure the "From" network is set to Bitcoin and the "To" network is set to Ethereum.

2. In the input field, enter the amount of BTC you wish to bridge

   Minimum Bridge Amount (21,000 sats), or it will fail

1. Enter your ETH Receiving address to receive your $zkBTC.

1. Click the "Mint zkBTC" button. After reviewing the details, click "Confirm" to proceed.

Step 3: Waiting for Confirmations and Viewing Your zkBTC

1. Once confirmed on Bitcoin, the protocol will automatically mint your zkBTC. You will see a completion message on the website.

2. $zkBTC balance will be listed among your assets.

Redeem Bitcoin (zkBTC to BTC)

When you want to convert your $zkBTC back to native Bitcoin on your Xverse address:

1. On the zkBTC bridge website, switch the direction. Set the "From" network to Ethereum and the "To" network to Bitcoin.

2. Connect your wallet if it's not already connected. Enter the amount of zkBTC you want to redeem. Click "Redeem" and then "Confirm" on the transaction summary.

1. After the transaction is confirmed,the BTC will be sent back to your entered Bitcoin address.This process also requires waiting for network confirmations.
